Those Perth Folk are Funny! St John’s Shopping Centre to use YouTube to Raise More Comic Cash 11 March 2009
Visitors to St John’s Shopping Centre have been getting their best jokes out for intenational airing, in a bid to encourage YouTube viewers to donate to their current Comic Relief fundraising campaign.

The videos, entitled “Those Perth Folk are Funny” will be published on YouTube daily during the campaign in a bid to attract an online audience to contribute to the worthy fundraising cause. Online donations are now possible thanks to assistance from Comic Relief who have enabled fundraisers to set up their very own dedicated fundraising page online.

Getting their Comic Relief fundraising campaign off to a whopping start this weekend, the team have already raised over £1300 and are more than half way towards their £2500 fundraising target for the whole week.

Siobhan McConnell, St John’s Shopping Centre manager commented, “Many people took five minutes out of their day to tell us a joke this weekend and make us all laugh. We’re hoping that by posting their efforts online, local people will take five minutes out off their day to view the clips and post their donation.”

For further information about the fundraising activities, visit the Red Nose Day shop in the South Street Mall which will be open every day, running daily from 11am – 4pm. To view the latest clips from “Those Perth Folk are Funny” visit www.stjshopping.co.uk
