Multi-award winning wildlife photographer, writer and broadcaster Simon King, is to make a planned stop at Waterstones in St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth on Friday 16th April at 1pm to promote his new book “Shetland Diaries”.

Based on his BBC2 series of the same name, Shetland Diaries tracks Simon as he sets off on an adventure to the Shetland Isles to live, through the changing seasons, with his family. Simon and his wife Marguerite and two-year-old Savannah, settle into a wild remote cottage, but the winter weather and winds of over 100mph make life tough for them. To celebrate winter, Simon joins the local Shetlanders in their Viking Up-Helly-Aa Festivals, but there are a few surprises for him along the way!

For over thirty years Simon King has contributed to hundreds of television’s most famous wildlife programmes including Planet Earth and Big Cat Live. He recently received the OBE for services to wildlife and to conservation.

Customers wishing to see Simon in person, are requested to make their way to the Waterstones store for 12.30pm on Friday 16th April. Customers who are unable to attend can reserve a signed copy in store.
