Only thirty lucky local Grand Theft Auto fans will be able to get their hands on a copy of the latest release, GTA IV, of the renowned computer game Grand Theft Auto when it is made available on general release at midnight on Monday 28th April. St John’s Shopping Centre’s Game store is opening between midnight and 2am specifically to accommodate gaming fans in their quest to obtain the latest version. Die hard fans had better keep their eyes open for this unique event, as the shop has been given only 30 copies for general sale and has no estimate from the manufacturers when the next delivery will be. Liz Brennan, manager of Game in St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth, said “It’s really exciting to be opening at midnight for such a massive launch – it’s all the more pertinent knowing the Grand Theft Auto was developed in Tayside. We’re expecting a lot of fans to be streaming through the doors come midnight. They’ll have to be quick though – with only 30 copies and no date for our second delivery, we could sell out fairly quickly.” High Street doors to St John’s Shopping Centre will open at midnight especially for Game customers.
