St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth has launched a free weekly job alert service to promote retail career opportunities to local job seekers. With forty retailers under one roof, and over 200 people working within St John’s Shopping Centre, they are certain it will become a very popular service. Siobhan McConnell, St John’s Shopping Centre manager said “For many years we’ve had a job notice board in the shopping centre which is immensely popular. On average there are several new jobs every week being advertised by our retailers, ranging from Saturday assistants to management positions. It seemed to make sense that we extend this service to our online visitors.” With the UK’s credit crunch in full swing, part time jobs are more popular than ever as many people search for a second income to boost their finances. The weekly job bulletin will be distributed to subscribers every Friday and subscription to the service is free.
