St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth has announced a new retail unit for the clothing and gift retailer “True Scots” will open in South Street Mall just in time for the start of the high tourist season in Perthshire. True Scots, an independent retailer, stocks a wide range of Scottish clothing, both traditional and casual, as well as gifts and souvenirs suitable for all ages. A family business, the company also has shops in Pitlochry, Oban and Tyndrum and has welcomed the opportunity to extend their retail presence to Perth. Siobhan McConnell, manager of St John’s Shopping Centre, said “We are delighted that True Scots has chosen St John’s Shopping Centre in Perth for their latest expansion and I believe their contribution to the shopping centre’s retail mix is a valuable one. Their offer will appeal to true Scots resident in Perthshire, and tourists alike! “ This announcement has come hot on the heels of re-development of the King Edward Street entrance to the Shopping Centre to accommodate a new Coffee Republic Deli which is due to open in mid July.
