Kate Adie OBE to Visit Waterstones, Perth on Book Tour
19 November 2008
The multi-award winning BBC war correspondent, Kate Adie, is to make a planned stop at Waterstones in St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth on Tuesday 25th November at 12.30pm to promote her new book “Into Danger: Risking your Life for Work”.

Kate, who rose to fame in 1980 with her coverage of the Iranian Embassy siege, is a household name in the UK and has reported on some of the most prolific conflicts of the last thirty years, many of them from the front line.

Kate Adie became the BBC’s chief news correspondent in 1989 and has pioneered a way forward for many women in news journalism, earning herself much deserved accolades along the way. Her honours include three RTS awards, the BAFTA Richard Dimbleby Award, and the Broadcasting Press Guild's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting. In 1993 she was awarded an OBE.

Customers wishing to see Kate in person, are requested to make their way to the Waterstones store for midday on Tuesday 25th November. Waterstones Perth are also offering a £3 discount on the book’s cover price and customers who are unable to attend can reserve a signed copy in store.
